Have you ever found yourself at a loss when selecting your outfit for your Christmas portrait session? Below are some seasonally-inspired looks + tricks to help inform your wardrobe decisions for your family photos this holiday season!
I recommend aiming for coordinating rather than “matchy-matchy.” If you and your significant other wear the exact same outfit (ex. blue jeans and black shirt), the effect will be a bit cheesy. Instead, choose an accent color (ex. neutrals like burgandy, navy, chambray blue) that each person will wear within their outfit or choose items with colors in the same color family.
The looks you choose for your Christmas portrait session can be as dressy or casual as you want them to be -go with what makes you feel your best!

For our casual look, we both opted for neutrals head-to-toe. Choosing neutral, solid-colored pieces for your photography session is a foolproof strategy!
Wearing an outfit that is already a favorite may help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

Some people prefer wearing their Sunday best for a Christmas portrait session -I do! Of course, the level of dressiness is up to you. My go-to is business casual.
