Shades of Blue // Elopement and Bridal Portrait Session

shades of blue

In February, I attended the two-day Honestly workshop hosted by Phylicia Willis, a Charlotte wedding photographer. The seminar explored how to successfully organize and pull off styled shoots; the workshop also featured an elaborate styled photoshoot each day. Carolina Country Weddings in Mount Pleasant, NC provided a bespoke farmhouse and rich landscape for the Shades of Blue shoot.

A styled shoot is a collaborative effort by a team of vendors to create a faux event -often a wedding or elopement. Styled shoots are a fantastic way to connect with industry professionals and create beautiful and valuable marketing material for every business involved.

The first day of the workshop featured both an elopement and bridal portrait styled shoot with a “Shades of Blue” theme.

Hannah Campbell, a freelance model in Charlotte, posed for bridal portraits both inside and outside of the Carolina Country Weddings farmhouse. The stunning gown by Meagan Kelly Designs provided the loveliest modern-day Cinderella vibes!

This cute couple posed together for this styled elopement setup. They laughed, danced, and cuddled as if they were truly newlyweds …not just friends!

This lush tablescape was thoughtfully created by A Bushel and a Peck Rentals. Featuring vintage plates, blue glasses, and antique gold goblets, the table overflowed with lush greenery and florals.
