In April, I hosted the Blush & Blue Bohemian Bridal styled shoot in Matthews, NC. This was the first multi-vendor styled shoot that I organized myself!

What is a styled shoot anyway?
A styled shoot is a collaborative effort by a team of vendors to create a photoshoot with a specific concept -in this case, a bohemian bridal portrait session. Styled shoots are a fantastic way to connect with industry professionals and create beautiful, valuable marketing material for every business involved!

I carefully organized a team of skilled creatives to help my vision for this shoot materialize. Each amazing vendor is listed at the bottom of the post with their contribution!

The teacup and saucer (with the cupcake) are family heirlooms (borrowed from my mother-in-law) and over a hundred years old! My mother-in-law also kindly provided the table, stool, antique books, candle sticks, and hand-made runner for the shoot.

About four minutes into the shoot, there was a sudden, heavy downpour! Kayla ran for cover to preserve her makeup while I broke down the details table, keeping the paper items, namely the antique books, from being ruined by rain.

The rain mercifully stopped after fifteen minutes and we were able to continue with the shoot. Thankfully, nothing was ruined -not even Kaylas’ makeup!

Despite the troublesome weather, we created a beautiful, unique set of images together! This shoot would not have been possible without the unwavering positivity of my model, Kayla, and my makeup artist, Kristine, acting as my assistant -carrying items, making adjustments, and suggesting creative poses. I will forever be grateful to them for their efforts!

I’m so glad that my first styled shoot was a success (despite the odds!). Because of my wonderful vendor team that contributed their time, services and products, my bohemian bridal vision came to life!
