“Unpolished Libertine” is a 90s grunge inspired shoot that was held in downtown Concord, NC on a summer evening.
The photo shoot transpired in an old bank building in downtown Concord. Though the unkempt building will be undergoing renovations any day now, we were able to squeeze in this themed session on a weeknight.

Four creatives were a part of “Unpolished Libertine”: Amelia of Future Arrangements Photography, Mia of Mia Rose Photography, the model Emily, and myself!

We were able to use several floors of the old bank building, each with it’s own points of interest. The first floor, with its gold chandeliers and columns, was a stark contrast to the dilapidated upper floors with their graffitied walls and peeling paint.

One of the best things about shooting with Emily every few months is this: with every shoot, we learn how to work together better! Emily has learned what poses I like and I’ve learned her best angles.

We ended the 90s grunge session with some light and shadow play. Working in bright spots of light (provided by uncovered windows) and shadow resulted in some really dramatic portraits!
