This year, I had the lovely opportunity to work with Charlotte home goods brand Queen City Crete to create a set of versatile product photos.
Queen City Crete is a woman-led local small business that provides a wide variety of handmade concrete products such as planters, candles, trays, dishes, and bowls. Shamila V., owner of the brand, is passionate about creating eco-friendly goods that are easy to use and re-use!
You may notice that the colors in these images look different from my normal editing style; if so, you are absolutely correct! I edited these to match Queen City Crete’s distinct brand.
With such a wide range of products to work with, I took my time styling the items in my home and photographed them over a two week period. I am always glad to have the luxury of a distant deadline! This way, I can work an hour or two until I’m out of ideas, then return to my setup when my creative energy has recovered and is flourishing again.
The marbled pet dish set below fits our industrial home decor perfectly! The bowls are more than spacious enough to hold meals and water.
My sweet rottweiler, Quorra, got quite a few treats during this shoot! She sat and stood in place so well as I directed her.
