On the morning of the 4th of July, I met up with a couple fellow creatives to shoot a fine art styled shoot, Gilded Butterflies. Together we created some lovely art using choice spots throughout Charlotte hotspot Camp North End.

My concept for this shoot was to combine a dreamy yet vibrant feeling with butterfly details.
This flower mural by Bree Quixote is a new addition to Camp North End, created for the Van Gough exhibit. This mural was the primary backdrop I had in mind for this fine art styled shoot concept.

The handmade butterfly wing earrings were provided by my friend, Amelia. They are so light and feminine!

I wanted to experiment with some direct sun, so we stepped into the bright light to get these dramatic images below!

Ponybox Clothing provided the lilac-colored slip dress for the shoot. I love the way slip dresses drape and reflect light.
We used another one of my favorite murals, this one by BK Artstuff, as a backdrop. I can never resist the bright colors and motion of this eye-catching piece.
You may recognize the Shy Siren rings from my Stars Align shoot back in January. They fit the concept and aesthetic so well, and I was happy to use them on set once again!

Priya changed into her second outfit, this pretty black slip dress. This piece cuts a really dramatic silhouette!
We ended our shoot with some model flatlay shots. I spread out a blanket for Priya to lay on, then arranged her curly hair and placed butterflies throughout her locks.

I’m so thankful for each and every local Charlotte creative that participated in this amazing fine art styled shoot! Styled shoots are a collaboration only made possible with a great team.
