In fall 2021, I had the opportunity to work with Jessica Mangum, a local spiritual guide and intuitive medium. Together we created a gallery of versatile and beautiful personal branding images to fit her brand.
Jessica Mangum has been guiding and mentoring others on their spiritual journeys for over 20 years. She offers mentoring, readings, sound therapy, and workshops for those who seek clarity and to connect to their inner selves.
We held the session on Jessica’s property, beginning just before a delicious golden hour. Her beautiful backyard includes a creek, topped with a wooden bridge leading into a little treelined meadow.
I used a number of techniques to give the images an ethereal, magical feel. Using prisms and the reflective screen of my phone, I was able to add interesting effects to images in-camera.
Jessica is a vibrant and sunny person that is a joy to spend time with! I wanted to capture her warm and loving personality during out time together.
Our session came to its natural end as the sun dipped below the trees. We moved to the tree-lined clearing to utilize the last of the evening’s golden beams.
In the images below, I utilized the setting sun to create a charming glow with backlighting.
Jessica was a joy to work with! I appreciate her trust in me, and the way she let me lean into my creativity during our session.
